The smart and sustainable global program United Cities has chosen Scottsdale, Arizona, as the location for its North American headquarters.
The headquarters of United Cities North America (UCNA) will house the organization’s Innovation Hub (I-Hub), whose role is to foster connections between businesses, entrepreneurs, capital, partners, local government , universities and other stakeholders in order to build a strong and economically viable environment. ecosystem for use by the community, the region and the world.

Cités Unies’s mission is to create smart, sustainable and clean cities and communities. It operates in partnership with several United Nations agencies and international organizations and its work aligns with the goals of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 to make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
Asset manager and fund sponsor Caliber will be the lead developer for the UCNA site with development starting this quarter. This role includes research, site selection, and compilation of the development team to execute the project. Together, Caliber and UCNA have also opened a new United Cities Qualified Opportunity Zone fund.
The UCNA headquarters will also include a university component and an industrial laboratory. The UCNA headquarters will be located on a 25 acre site in Scottsdale. Caliber’s work in Opportunity Zones focuses on economic development in areas that would benefit significantly from increased income. In keeping with this objective, the headquarters of the NCAA will be located in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Reservation.
