Kane Brown Reflects on Life’s Blessings in New Song “Grand”

Kane Brown will release his highly anticipated next album, Different Man, in September. To hold off his fan until the project’s September 9 release date, the country singer released a new track titled “Grand.”

In the song, Brown talks about his early dreams of being a music star, but also the mental struggles he faced pursuing his passions. In the end, he counts it all as a win the moment he hits the chorus.

“Isn’t life great? / Only the ones I keep around are my family / No coincidence, that’s always been the plan / And I always keep it great with the fans / Oh, life Ain’t she awesome? / And I like a little whiskey in my hand / Make it disappear then reappear again / In fact, I never want this life to end, until the end, yeah , “ he sings in the choir.

Brown calls his latest musical a “pop single” on Instagram. While leaning into pop, the song also features a strong trap influence. “Grand” might be the biggest crossover for the “Heaven” singer since his collaboration with Marshmello, “One Thing Right.”

“Grand” will be part of Brown’s third studio album, which will also include “Whiskey Sour” and “Leave You Alone.” The rest of the project will feature previously unreleased songs, meaning “Memory” (a Blackbear collaboration) and “Blessed & Free” (Brown’s collaboration with HER) will not be on the track listing. However, fans can expect to hear the highly anticipated “Mad at This World”, featuring his wife Katelyn, on Different Man.

The “One Mississippi” artist calls his fiancée his “secret weapon” he’s been waiting to “unleash.” Katelyn had her own musical aspirations in the past before meeting her husband.

Along with announcing his new album, Brown is teasing a 2023 tour, and he’s asking fans for input on who should join the tour lineup. Suggestions in the replies include Brown’s pal, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Brian Kelley, Restless Road, Ashley Cooke and others.
